Dardel is a Cray EX system from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, based on AMD EPYC processors with an accompanying Lustre storage system. Later on there will also be an accelerated partition based on AMD's upcoming Instinct MI250X GPU. The nodes are interconnected using Slingshot HPC Ethernet. SNIC has financed 830 CPU nodes, 56 GPU nodes with 4 GPUs each, and 18PB of centre storage.
In addition to the SNIC part, the resource also consists of a smaller partition for e.g. industrial cooperation by KTH.
Dardel has been decided to be kept in production through 2026-06-30.
