Instructions for Large scale applications

Instructions for application: Large level

Call for proposals for large scale requests will be issued twice per year.

Incomplete or late proposals will be discarded.

In addition to the SNAC application form, the application must contain the following appendices. They should be submitted electronically through the upload facility in the online proposal submission system. Please, submit application written in English.

  1. CV of the principal investigator (The PI has to be a senior scientist. Maximum 2 pages)

  2. Publication list of the principal investigator
  3. Detailed project description with list of references. (Maximum 5 pages.)
    The project description should contain the following sections:

    • Background (optional, include any vital background information).

    • Scientific content (describe the proposed research).

    • Requested resources (convincingly describe how your application can make efficient use of requested resources; give numbers or indicate measures of scalability and performance, e.g. graph of execution time vs. number of cores). Record of usage if of you have been granted time for this project/similar project in previous allocation rounds. If requested time differs from earlier allocated and/or used time, please explain the difference.

  4. Activity report, including resulting papers, on previous work using HPC resources.
